Traigh Iar (Sollas Beach)
Approximately 3km of beach with white sand just a short walk from our front door. Machair and its associated wildlife and flora run in parallel making for some breath taking walks.
Traigh Bhalaigh (Malaclate Beach)
Nice beach overlooking Valley island within easy walking from our B&B.
Traigh Ear (Grenitote Beach)
Lovely beach with a small car park area with an honesty box in place. Occasionally used by small aircraft as an airfield.

Valley Island has history and can be reached at low tide.
Udal
The Udal peninsular was first settled upon in the Neolithic age and excavations have revealed it was inhabited right up to the 1900s. A long beach and machair walk will get you there from the Grenitote car park.
RSPB Balranold
A bird sanctuary covering a large area of machair and sandy beach with a RSPB building with parking and toilet facilities.
